Marie Nantier Didier, Born at Bourbon Island in 1832,
Studied in Paris with Duprez. Debut Turin (1849 or 50) as Giulia in Mercadante's La Vestale. First Covent Garden Maddalena (Rigoletto), Ascanio (Cellini), Ulri, and Siebel. Paris, St. Petersburg (where she created Preziosilla), Madrid (where she died in 1865).
