Shows trial of the Sperry Curtiss hydroplane equipped with gyroscopic stabilizer apparatus invented by Elmer Sperry, designed to improve stability and control. In the second photo, you can see the pilot outside the cockpit. Lawrence Sperry trialed the aircraft with French mechanic and assistant, Emil Cachin.
