Vintage anonymous photograph from the archive of french aeronaut Charles Gilbert. Charles Gilbert was giving exhibition ballooning flights and moved to Russia at the end of the nineteenth century. He also took part in the start of aviation in Russia. This is a photo of his deflated ballon probably at a fair ground in Moscow where he was exhibiting. This scene was taken in winter.
