Group of 15 vintage photographs, one flight record and a photo of a map from the archives of Charles Gilbert.
This group relate the record private flight when Gilbert flew for almost 23 hours over Russia in May 1910. He was accompanied on this flight by Robert Fulda and Engineer O (or D) from the Compagnie d'Eclairage of Moscow. The last photo below is a nice close up of the two men who can also be seen in several other photographs.
A couple of photos have a hand written text in french or russian signed by Gilbert and some have his russian stamp.
