Russie Aviation Militaire WWI Alphonse Poiree en Uniforme Lot Photos Anciennes 1915

Lot of 3 vintage anonymous studio photographs.

One of the postcard was written by Poiree to Charles Gilbert, french aeronaut living in Moscow at the time. The text is hard to read but contains interesting anecdotes about Poiree's time in the Russian army dropping bombs on the Boches. It's dated 12 February 1915.
The newspaper clipping is about Poiree receiving 3 classes of the Order of St George and being proposed for the 1st class, highest military decoration of the Russian Empire. He seems to be holding a small dagger which was part of one of the classes of the Order of St George (2nd class?).
