Navy dive bombers display prowess. The ACME cameraman snapped his camera at the moment a load of 500 pound demolition bombs hit their marks during bombing of a precision target by 18 Navy dive bombers from Navy squadron VS-42, at Barksdale Field here. The planes were placed in a column at 15,000 feet. A dive approach was made to approximately 8000 feet where a straight 70o dive for the target was started. Bombs were dropped at an altitude of between 2000 and 3000 feet. Recovery was made at approximately 1500 feet.
