Wreckage Of Day Long Battle On Russian Front.
Moscow. This picture, taken by P. Troshkin, the Izvestia special photo correspondent at the front, and flashed to New York from Moscow by radio on July 24th, shows the battlefield on which a Soviet regiment commanded by Colonel Kutyopov fought German tank troops for 14 hours, repulsing all attacks and efforts to capture the town of 'D.' These are some of the 39 disabled tanks left on the field by the Germans, according to the Russian Censor.
